Following species must have been added by mistake and are not found in the Mumbai region, unless there is photographic evidence or collected specimen.

Status of some of the butterflies are also not consistent and probably would require more rigorous field visits.
For example: Tawny Rajah [ Charaxes bernardus Fabricius, 1793 ] - Not rare , Monkey Puzzle [ Rathinda amor Fabricius, 1775 ] - Locally Common , Apefly [ Spalgis epius Westwood, 1851 ] - Uncommon, Small Branded Swift[ Pelopidas mathias Fabricius, 1798 ] - Very Rare, Dark Branded Swift [ Pelopidas agna Moore, 1865 ] - Common, Continental Swift [Parnara ganga Evans, 1937] - Uncommon
